Rainbow Children’s Club at The Yoga-Life StudioIt is always a joy to watch children practising yoga. Being a yoga teacher and a mother of two boys I often find my boys (and their friends) on my yoga mat shouting enthusiastic, “look at me I am a tree”, or “I'm an airplane”, “What am I now?” or “what is this posture called?”
The benefits of a regular practice of yoga are many, and is been proven that many children have great benefits from it, learning to breathe deeper and more fully which is great for their lungs. Yoga aids concentration and you might find that active children are calmer after a class. Yoga can also give children the confidence to deal with the pressures of life, reducing symptoms of anger, frustration, anxiety and stress.
Yoga for children is a wonderful way of keeping the digestive system working efficiently, toning the nervous system and keeping flexibility in body and mind. It refreshes the organs, giving vitality to cells and tissues through the practice of breathing with all of the lungs, thus aiding repertory problems.
Rainbow Children's Yoga is especially designed to use the child's imagination with posture work whilst teaching them to breathe correctly and understand how to relax their body. Yoga is a natural and healthy way to exercise through play and imagination, learning to relax, focus and strengthen body, mind and spirit.
Rainbow Children's Yoga is fun, creative and enjoyable for boys and girls. Come and join me in the fun adventure of yoga play at The Yoga-Life Studio upstairs at The Enterprise Centre, Station Parade, Eastbourne BN21 1BD
